    Waterlase MD™ Turbo works by transmitting an intense beam of light energy with an “end-cutting” form unlike the conventional procedures. It is used for surgical and dental procedures, with no anesthesia, no pain for most cases and it is safe for adults and children.

    How fast and productive is it?

    The Waterlase MD™ uses a unique combination of an YSGG laser and a precise water spray, delivering breakthrough cutting speed. This is the first laser breaking the speed barrier with the fastest cutting, and is faster compared to the conventional high speed dental drill, while offering extremely superior clinical results and painless dentistry.

    What procedures are performed with Laser Dentistry?

    Using lasers in restorative dentistry allows us to do various procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, implants and dentures. Using the Waterlase MD Turbo, the procedure does not need heat or create pressure, and in some cases there will be no need for anesthesia.

    Gum surgeries have moved from conventional unpleasant techniques, to the most comfortable technique using the latest technology of all times in gum surgeries. The Waterlase MD Turbo minimizes operative time and post-operative complications. It also provides faster healing and offers an immediate result in gum surgery.

    Combining two techniques of advanced laser technologies, the surgery becomes painless without the need of any anesthesia shots. The combination of laser diode and Emundo, a biocompatible colorant, that is stimulated through the diode laser irradiation, killing effectively all the germs in deep pockets.

    Melanin pigmentation is the result of a higher concentration of melanin or imbalances in pigmentation. The degree of pigmentation varies from one individual to another, which is mainly dictated by the melanoblastic activity. The laser ablation technique has been recognized as one of the most effective, comfortable and reliable techniques. The laser system used has FDA approval for several soft tissue procedures such as Gingivoplasty, Gingivectomy and fibroma removal.

    Laser is the best teeth whitening procedure using the “LaserSmile” instrument. Patients leave with no post-operative sensitivity; non-procedures will have comparable results. It takes about 45min to get your teeth brighter by 2 sessions.

    A root canal Procedure is done before going for the filling. In fact, conventional techniques provide uncomfortable effects and leave an important amount of smear layer that increases the risk of treatment failure. The combination of Waterlase and Diode Laser optimizes the decontamination process of the canal before filling, leading to treatment success.

    Dental health & bad breath

    “Bad breath” or “halitosis” is experienced by most people at some time and varies depending on the source or underlying cause. Some people experience bad breath and aren’t aware about it because it’s difficult to assess how your own breath smells.

    It is almost always caused initially by poor oral hygiene leading to a buildup of excess bacteria in the mouth and which gives off smelly gases. In fact it can be a persistent chronic condition affecting a person’s everyday life and self-confidence.

    Bad breath causes

    – Tobacco products, smokers are more likely to develop gum disease
    – Poor dental hygiene, people who don’t brush and floss their teeth on daily bases, food particles remain in their mouth that will be the cause of a permanent bad breath that will eventually lead to a chronic condition; plaque of bacteria are formed on the teeth and if not brushed away, the gum will be irritated and form plaque-filled pockets between the teeth and gum, known as periodontitis.
    – Dry mouth, helps to clean your mouth removing solid particles that cause bad breath also known as “xerostomia”, this will also lead to “morning breath”, as it can also be caused by a problem of your salivary glands and some diseases.

    What is Microdentistry?

     

    Microdentistry is an alternative procedure to treat decay in teeth by removing as little as possible of the natural tooth structure. All the decay will be totally removed without the need for drilling, and some restorative cases won’t be needing anesthesia or shots. Microdentistry techniques are used to detect and restore tiny cavities found in difficult to reach areas. When talking about cavities on the grooves of the teeth, it is simple to spot using x-rays and exploration methods. Smaller cavities are harder to detect, and this is where the Microdentistry procedure really help. It helps detect the smaller cavities before they grow and penetrate the inner layers. Dentists can prevent the need for root canal treatment with Microdentistry.

     

    Directed Jet Technology

     

    A new unified dental treatment device that provides the dentists with a more efficient approach of dental caries treatment, the cavity preparation followed by the filling and then preventive treatment application can be performed with a single unified hand piece based on directed particle-laden jet. This one tool can be used to perform all of the steps required in routine dental treatments.

    The feasibility of the idea is being investigated both numerically (using the commercial FLUENT software) and experimentally. The measurements of the carrier jet flow field, and the trajectories and concentration of the particles are obtained using a modified Stereo Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technique. The efficiency of active flow control on the jet, using control jets will be evaluated via controlling the jet’s spreading rate, and particles’ concentration and trajectories.
